Erik vs. Hong Kong II

A day at the beach...

Erik interprets Günter as Mitch Buchanan...

The matching track-suit family and the mismatched Erik

This only works in Swedish...

Erik vs. Hong Kong

Total gluttony @ the Golden Jaguar!!!

I knew it was a big place, but my god this place was huge!!!
Dumplings, thai food, indian naan, Teppanyaki, Sashimi, wines, beer, ice cream, grilled salmon, beijing ducks, french fries, noodles, lamb chops, tiramisu, etc, etc, etc....

Dessert table, just one many...

Sushi, why not!

Moms...

Ok, so they switched from Häagen-Dazs to some other American ice cream, it was still awesome!

You gotta have a live band singing old classics

Just part of the mountain of desserts that we went through...

After 4.5 hours of eating, I am officially DONE!!!

Golden Jaguars

Christmas starting early this year :)

Our bed, cute or what????

Even the bathroom is "christmafied"

A night close to the stars..

We were headin' to the (red) top of the tallest (finished) building in Beijing!

Looking east...

Cheese in Swedish (ost), almost everyone got it;)

Mojoto is how its spelled on the 63rd floor....

The ladies got really upset because....

...the windows were dirty. I personally think the Beijing dirt gave them a pretty cool effect...

Our neighborhood!

Just some random pictures of the area in which we live and learn...

The cool one...

The famous one...

The funny-lookin' one...

The tall one...

The burnt one..

Shopping at Qianmen...

Well deserved coffee break at Xingbake!

Not the artist, Not the show, Not the party!

Our good friend, Not Vital, the artist had a vernissage last night at a gallery out in the art district of Beijing. People flew in from all over the world and I am sure they weren't disappointed. His new sculptures were great! And also; whenever Not's holding a show, he is also throwing a party;)

The classic Not Vital "Ox-togue" at the gallery, UrsMeille in Caochangdi...

An interesting turn, more colors is something new!

A reflexion of Ali in the Agadez sculpture.

This Golden Beijing Duck is definitely my favorite piece in this exhibition!

"Un-pleasant object" is a very describing title...

Another classic, now in form of Mongolian Cow dung...

The party at Not's newly finished studio in Caochangdi, in the North parts of Beijing. Awesome house, more pictures of this coming soon!

Jimmy Choo at H&M in Beijing!

Today H&M released their Jimmy Choo collab and the Chinese seemed to love it!

Unfortunatelly the quality was disappointing (read crap) and the men's collection weak and plain!

But still worth fighting for apparently...

Chaos and mayhem!!!

If you dont wanna fight, window shop!

Some happy Chinese Jimmy Choo customers

Parents are visiting...

First out, the Frimans

and secondly, 妈妈 Annika! Enjoying our favorite breakfast!

Parents usually come bearing gifts:)

Yet another new SOHO...

This time poppin' up opposite of the Village, Sanlitun. Nice huh?!

White stuff on the ground again???

Are Beijing gonna apply for the Winter Olympics soon, or whats the plan?

TV dinner...

Yoshi to the resque!!!

Beijing got Burger King!!!

Finally BK's downtown! All those cab-rides to the airport got kinda expensive...

Midholt came all the way from Lund, Sweden for the occasion!

Burger King is "hårresande" :)

When Lamborghini calls...

...you dress up and you go!!!

Usually I like black colored cars, but tonight, I would go for any color...

At red carpet events in China, its a custome to sign the wall...

The man, the myth...The Ali!

Nice cars, smooth champagne and good friends = happy times!;)

The CEO himself(!), entered with two chinese models...

Apparently nice cars attracts half naked women, even in a November cold Beijing...

And sure, its a nice bull, but its no Koenigsegg;)

noodle soup to make me feel better...

Looking back... PRC turns 60 years!

Since Joanna is busy with an exam and I'm still is down with the flu, why not look back on the sunny day when China became 60 y.o.

October 1, was a happy day!

The streets downtown where all closed for the massive military parade.

Yet another deserted street. Everything was amazingly quiet.

Everyone wathces the parade on TV but since our TV at home is only 42" so we decided to go to our neighbor which has a much bigger one;)

We were not the only ones...

The man himself, Hu Jintao, inspecting the troops.

"Pink lady army" in short skirts and with huge machine guns. yayks...

And they apparently also come in a more traditional color; army green...

and of course, BBC thought this was BIG NEWS!

Then it was time for the air force...

...for all of us to enjoy live!

The Grande Finale!!!

Sick again...
